  1. SpeedShare works as a client communicating with a server. The client is free (the software you are using right now). For full use of all features, a serial number for the server must be purchased.

  3. Each copy of SpeedShare Server and SpeedShare Server Pro is licensed for installation on one computer, for access by a certain number of users. Installing either of them on more than one computer requires the purchase of one serial number for each computer.

When SpeedShare servers (personal and Pro) are sold with a limit on the number of users, the server allows access from that number of Macs in one day. For example, a 5-user license allows the server to be accessed from 5 different Macs, regardless of what user name(s) are used, or whether some users connect as guests.
